Place Foundations - Drop-In Session

This session focuses on building the foundation of a reliable, confident place command, one of the most valuable skills for control, steadiness, and teamwork in the field and during NAVHDA testing. During your dedicated training time, you can work on developing clear boundaries, calm stays, and consistent communication that helps your dog understand how to remain settled and focused on their designated spot. Experienced NPA NAVHDA members will be on hand to offer guidance, tips, and feedback based on what has worked for them in real hunting and testing environments.

Whether you’re introducing place to a young dog or sharpening duration and distraction‑proofing for more advanced work, this session provides a supportive, hands‑on environment to strengthen your partnership and improve your dog’s impulse control, confidence, and overall reliability
