About the event
This session focuses on building the foundation of a reliable, attentive heel, one of the most important skills for teamwork in the field and during NAVHDA testing. During your dedicated training time, you’ll work on establishing a consistent position, smooth transitions, and clear communication between you and your dog. Experienced NPA NAVHDA members will be on hand to offer guidance, tips, and feedback based on what has worked for them in real hunting and testing environments.
Whether you’re introducing heel to a young dog or sharpening precision for advanced work, this session provides a supportive, hands‑on environment to strengthen your partnership and improve your dog’s responsiveness and focus.
