About the event
This session focuses on building the foundation of a reliable, enthusiastic fetch, one of the most important skills for teamwork in the field and during NAVHDA testing. During your dedicated training time, you can work on developing a clean pick‑up, purposeful returns, and clear communication that helps your dog understand the full retrieve sequence. Experienced NPA NAVHDA members will be on hand to offer guidance, tips, and feedback based on what has worked for them in real hunting and testing environments.
Whether you’re introducing fetch to a young dog or sharpening mechanics for more advanced work, this session provides a supportive, hands‑on environment to strengthen your partnership and improve your dog’s consistency, confidence, and overall reliability during retrieves.
The club will have bumpers available for use.
